Soccer has been a big part of my life and my dream and goal is to play professional soccer around the world I was talking to my grandpa about soccer and he said soccer is life because you have a goal and you have to work your way all the way to the goal and you can't always score on the first try so you have to keep trying and trying to soccer just like in like you have to keep going for your dream and there are bumps in the road and you get pushed down get back up and keep going forward.

Immigrants in our own world recording first stanza
Immigrants in our own land response
Immigrants in our own land and Rhs relate to each other because of all the cops like in the poem the whites with the white and Chicanos and natives together its like the cops together basically trying to take the Guad tree out but they are profiling the kids when it wasn't even kids from Guad starting anything. The cops made it worse for coming for the rest of that week because the kids felt like they can do anything and whatever they want. I am a proud native because I haven't done anything wrong and I represent righetti because that's my school and I play most of the sports. I'm a proud native because most of my stuff has warriors or something with rhs on it I have all my soccer and football and track gear my room gots purple streaks I'm a proud native.
Intro to poetry
1. Yes the title is significant because the title is out beyond ideas because it is about having good ideas and bad ones.
2. The tone of the poem is thinking out side the box but sometimes ideas can be wrong and to always think about your idea.
3. My mood was confused then I had to read it over and over to understand.
4. The shift was when Mewlana says ideas, language, even the phrase each other and goes to doesn't make any sense.
5. The theme is all no matter what any idea can be wrong but still right.

Literature analysis #2 left behind by Tim Lahaye & Jerry B. Jenkins
1. My mom told me to read this book and i expected that someone got left behind.
2. I kept reading after 10 pages because it got my attention right off the bat.
3. I read till I get a head ache and take a break eat something then read again.
1. The plot is a pilot named Rayford has a flight to Paris and his daughter comes doesn't from Collage to surprise him for his birthday and finds him flirting with another girl.
2. The theme is Christan tribulation and about the rapture.
3. The authors tone
4.
1. The author uses both of these direct and indirect characterisation to tell us directly how rayford is and his daughter and uses indirect characterisation on Buck the journalist by saying and describing what he has like his camera and how he is a well known journalist.
2. The authors syntax changes when he focuses on Olivia when her little brother got raptured because I think his syntax changed because she's a female and rayford is different from his daughter.
3. Rayford is dynamic because he changed through out the story from not believing in god to believing and asking for forgiveness.
4. I fell like I met the character Rayford because how he is there is a lot of people in this world that I know that are just like him.

Langston Hughes
Let America Be America Again
Langston Hughes, 1902 - 1967
Let America be America again. Let it be the dream it used to be. Let it be the pioneer on the plain Seeking a home where he himself is free. (America never was America to me.) Let America be the dream the dreamers dreamed— Let it be that great strong land of love Where never kings connive nor tyrants scheme That any man be crushed by one above. (It never was America to me.) O, let my land be a land where Liberty Is crowned with no false patriotic wreath, But opportunity is real, and life is free, Equality is in the air we breathe. (There's never been equality for me, Nor freedom in this "homeland of the free.") Say, who are you that mumbles in the dark? And who are you that draws your veil across the stars? I am the poor white, fooled and pushed apart, I am the Negro bearing slavery's scars. I am the red man driven from the land, I am the immigrant clutching the hope I seek— And finding only the same old stupid plan Of dog eat dog, of mighty crush the weak. I am the young man, full of strength and hope, Tangled in that ancient endless chain Of profit, power, gain, of grab the land! Of grab the gold! Of grab the ways of satisfying need! Of work the men! Of take the pay! Of owning everything for one's own greed! I am the farmer, bondsman to the soil. I am the worker sold to the machine. I am the Negro, servant to you all. I am the people, humble, hungry, mean— Hungry yet today despite the dream. Beaten yet today—O, Pioneers! I am the man who never got ahead, The poorest worker bartered through the years. Yet I'm the one who dreamt our basic dream In the Old World while still a serf of kings, Who dreamt a dream so strong, so brave, so true, That even yet its mighty daring sings In every brick and stone, in every furrow turned That's made America the land it has become. O, I'm the man who sailed those early seas In search of what I meant to be my home— For I'm the one who left dark Ireland's shore, And Poland's plain, and England's grassy lea, And torn from Black Africa's strand I came To build a "homeland of the free." The free? Who said the free? Not me? Surely not me? The millions on relief today? The millions shot down when we strike? The millions who have nothing for our pay? For all the dreams we've dreamed And all the songs we've sung And all the hopes we've held And all the flags we've hung, The millions who have nothing for our pay— Except the dream that's almost dead today. O, let America be America again— The land that never has been yet— And yet must be—the land where every man is free. The land that's mine—the poor man's, Indian's, Negro's, ME— Who made America, Whose sweat and blood, whose faith and pain, Whose hand at the foundry, whose plow in the rain, Must bring back our mighty dream again. Sure, call me any ugly name you choose— The steel of freedom does not stain. From those who live like leeches on the people's lives, We must take back our land again, America! O, yes, I say it plain, America never was America to me, And yet I swear this oath— America will be! Out of the rack and ruin of our gangster death, The rape and rot of graft, and stealth, and lies, We, the people, must redeem The land, the mines, the plants, the rivers. The mountains and the endless plain— All, all the stretch of these great green states— And make America again!

Literature analysis #1
1.well from the title Fahrenheit is heat so I expected fires and I hope to experience a good time with this book.
2. When Montag is firefighter but burns books and i didn't understand why so I kept reading.
3. I have to get into a book when I read if I don't understand a book its because I don't like it or it doesn't interest me.
1. Montag is a firefighter who doesn't put out fires but starts fires and burns books because the society is messed but and doesn't like what the books have to say. Montag meets this girl Clarisse who he starts talking to and started to change and started to read books eventhoyght he could get in big trouble for it.
2. The theme is basically Ray Bradbury talking about the future but now its the present and how Montag burns books and basically books are evil.
1. One example of direct characterization is when the author tells us that montag burns books. The second of direct is how they tell us how hes a firefighter and is married. One example of indirect is how the author rights about how he changes and the second is how he shows us that he is learning to stand up for what he believes in.
2. Yes the authors syntax changes because he gets into the book more.
3. Montag is dynamic because he changes throughout the book.
4. After reading the book I feel like I met a person because throughout the story we stick with montag and get to know him better and I like how he changes through out the story.

Fahrenheit 451
My first impression of Fahrenheit 451 is how the main character Montag burns books and he's a firefighter and he's the one starting fires that is ironic he's suppose to put fires out not start them. The book is pretty interesting I wanna keep reading because I wanna know what's going to happen next after he turns the corner.

Fahrenheit 451 questions
What is the significance of the salamander symbol in Fahrenheit 451? If you don't know, guess.
The salamander has to do something with fires or a fire that's what I'm guessing.
Describe Montag at the beginning of the novel. Do you think he's a hero? Why/not?
I don't think he's a hero because he gets a kick out of burning books and a hero is suppose to save someone no burn books.

I'm taking this course to become more educated in English and expand my vocabalary. Also I'm taking this course because without it I won't be able to graduate and be successful in life I would be a worker at mcdonalds and I don't wanna be that person. My goals for this course is to try my hardest and keep an A or better in this class. Also to expand my vocab into the everyday thing.
My thinking will improve gradually because everyday we get a prompt and have to think about it and write why the moral or what we just think personally or if we can relate to it. I expect my knowledge to shoot out of the roof. It will shoot out of the roof because there is so much to learn and nothing is holding me back from learning. Richard Cory surprised the readers and the narriaters because everyone thought he was a Hubble Carib guy and he had everything he could ever ask from and then boom pow he puts a bullet in his head. The moral of the poem is money and fame doesn't make a guy happy.
